Bibinje ( Latin Bibanium , Italian Bibigne ) is a municipality in Croatia . The tourist resort is located on the Adriatic coast in northern Dalmatia , in the Zadar County and is 5 km south of the city of Zadar . Bibinje was first mentioned in a document in 1214 . Marina Dalmacija is located between Bibinje and the neighboring town of Sukošan , which is the largest marina on the Adriatic with 70,000 m².
In 2011 the place had 3,985 inhabitants, 98.32% of them Croatians.
Personalities
- Franko Lisica (1968–1991), policeman, is considered the first Croatian victim of the Croatian war in the Zadar district. His murder sparked riots in Zadar .
