Lišane Ostrovičke (Italian: Lissane) is a municipality in Croatia in the Zadar County .
Location and inhabitants
Lišane Ostrovičke is located 50 km southeast of Zadar on the coastal road Benkovac - Skradin and on the railway line Zadar - Knin in the plain Ravni kotari , the hinterland of Zadar. The villages Dobropoljci and Ostrovica also belong to the Lišane Ostrovičke municipality. The municipality has 698 inhabitants (2011 census), of which 583 live in the main town Lišane Ostrovičke.
history
The area fell to the Turks in 1523. The fortress Ostrovica , which was destroyed in the Venetian-Turkish war in the 17th century, is well known.
The municipality was badly damaged in the Croatian War in September 1991. Before the war there were 1636 people in the community. 40% of them were Serbs. Today it is just under 12%.
