In 1935 a six-cylinder series was introduced again. In addition to the Standard 701B , there was the Deluxe 701A. Both had the new " silver streak design" with a radiator grille made of vertical chrome bars that continued on the bonnet. The range of bodies corresponded to the previous year's model and included a convertible, a coupé and a sedan with two doors each and a sedan with four doors. The sedans were available without a trunk (Sedan) or with a separate trunk (Touring Sedan).

The side valve inline six-cylinder engine of 3,409 cc displacement scooped an output of 80 hp (59 kW) at 3600 min -1 . Dry clutch, three-speed gearbox with center shift, cardan shaft and hydraulic four-wheel brakes were standard. A special feature of the Deluxe was the independent suspension on the front axle (in contrast to the rigid axle of the standard). It was the first Pontiac to feature this design detail.

In 1936 the Deluxe Six appeared in a revised form as the 6BA series. The “Silver Streak” grille had become narrower and the headlights were on the sides of the bonnet instead of the front fenders. The engine output had increased by 1 bhp.

At the same time, a Deluxe Eight Series 8BA was offered as a successor to the Improved . With a chassis with a wheelbase that is 4 5/8 ″ longer, he adopted the technology and style of the 6BA. The new side-controlled series eight-cylinder engine of 3,807 cc displacement drew a power output of 87 hp (64 kW) at 3,800 min -1 .

In these two years 118,827 Deluxe were created.

In 1937 both series were completely revised again. The vehicles became longer and heavier and, in addition to the “Silver Streak” design of the previous year, were given a radiator grille that was extended on the side by 8 fields of horizontal chrome bars. The headlights were back on the front fenders. In addition to the bodies known from previous years, there was a four-door convertible with five seats and - for the six-cylinder only - a five-door station wagon with seven seats. The two series were renamed 26 (six-cylinder) and 28 (eight-cylinder). After the Master was discontinued , the Deluxe was the only Pontiac model range.

There were also drilled out engines. The six-cylinder 3,649 cc engine was made and 85 bhp (62.5 kW) at 3520 min -1 , the eight-cylinder offered full 100 bhp (74 kW) at 3,800 min -1 of 4,079 cc.

The 1938 model year brought hardly any changes. Only the grille was given a pattern made of horizontal chrome bars.

In 1939 the new GM-A platform was introduced for the Deluxe. This made the cars flatter and longer while maintaining the same wheelbase. In addition to the Silver Streak, the again modified radiator grille had four fields with vertical chrome bars and a fine-meshed net (see photo). The range of bodies also shrank significantly: there was only a two-door convertible, a two-door coupé with three or five seats and the touring sedan (sedan with trunk) with two or four doors and six seats. Instead of a central gearshift, the cars were now equipped with a steering wheel gearshift. In addition to the Deluxe, this year there was the entry-level model Quality 115 with the engine of the Deluxe Six.

1940 brought another change in design with an alligator hood and headlights integrated into the front fenders. The six-cylinder engine placed at a constant displacement of power to supplied and now - as the eight-cylinder - 100 hp (74 kW) at 3700 min -1 . As a new model series, the streamlined model Torpedo was introduced this year , which was to inherit the Deluxe in the following year.

In four years another 578,502 Deluxe were built.
