The Pontiac Super Chief was an upper mid -range model built by the US automobile manufacturer Pontiac and offered in 1957 and 1958.

In 1957, the Super Chief replaced the previous year's Chieftain 870 deluxe model, while the Chieftain 860 standard model continued to be sold as the Chieftain. There was a 2-door hardtop coupe, 4-door sedans in standard and hardtop versions and a 5-door station wagon.

In addition to the more luxurious equipment, the Super Chief had more powerful engines. The 5,686 cm³ V8 developed 238–274 bhp (175–201 kW) and was 18 bhp more powerful than the Chieftain.

Approximately 64,500 Super Chiefs were produced in this model year.

In 1958 the Super Chief was based on the long wheelbase of the Star Chief and was only available as a coupé and sedan. Like its sister models, it had double headlights, a panoramic rear window and wider side stripes in the area of ​​the tail fins. The 243 to 274 bhp (178-201 kW) powering 6,063 cm³ -V8 came from the Chieftain.

This year 27,130 Super Chiefs were made. In the fall of 1958, the model was replaced by the Star Chief of the 1959 model year.
