Presidential election in Finland 1937

The Landbund candidate Kyösti Kallio was elected in the second ballot.

The presidential election in Finland in 1937 was the fourth election for the presidency in Finland.

Incumbent Pehr Evind Svinhufvud , who was supported by the political right, was defeated in the second ballot to the Landbund candidate Kyösti Kallio . Before that, Kaarlo Juho Ståhlberg had missed an absolute majority of one vote in the first ballot.

Elections to the electoral committee

The elections to the Electoral Committee took place on January 15 and 16, 1937. The turnout was 57.8%.
