Parliamentary election in Finland 1929
The parliamentary elections in Finland in 1929 ( Finnish Eduskuntavaalit 1929 ; Swedish Riksdagsvalet 1929 ) took place on July 1 and 2, 1929. It was the election for the 13th Finnish Parliament .
President Lauri Kristian Relander dissolved parliament on April 19 because it had not accepted his proposal to raise salaries for civil servants.
Although the Social Democrats got the most votes, the Landbund received one more seat due to the electoral law, making it the largest parliamentary group in the Finnish parliament for the first time. As in 1927, six parties were able to enter parliament this time.
