Parliamentary election in Finland 1922
The parliamentary elections in Finland in 1922 ( Finnish Eduskuntavaalit 1922 ; Swedish Riksdagsvalet 1922 ) took place on July 1st and 3rd, 1922. It was the election for the 10th Finnish Parliament .
The Social Democrats had to accept a vote loss of almost 13 percentage points and only got eight more seats than the Landbund. The main reason for the loss of votes was the first-time participation of the Socialist Workers' Party of Finland, which received almost 15% of the vote. The Christian Workers' Union, on the other hand, no longer took part in the parliamentary elections due to its criticism of the electoral law, which in its opinion left smaller parties with little chance.
