Parliamentary election in Finland 1987
The 1987 parliamentary elections in Finland took place on March 15-16, 1987. It was the election of the 30th Finnish Parliament .
The Social Democratic Party remained the strongest force with slight losses, while the conservative rallying party gained nine seats. The People's Democrats and the Rural Party incurred the greatest losses.

After the election
After the election, Social Democrats and Conservatives formed a grand coalition led by Conservative Harri Holkeri . The coalition was supported by the Swedish People's Party and the Rural Party of Finland, which, however, left the government in 1990.
