Local elections in Finland 2008

The 2008 local elections in Finland took place on October 26, 2008 . 4,191,662 voters were called to cast their votes.

Voting by postal vote and pre-selection was possible from October 15th to 21st, 2008, abroad voting was only possible from October 18th.

Election result

The turnout was 61.2% (2,565,413 in absolute terms) and thus 2.6 percentage points above the turnout in the local elections in 2004.
