Quadre Lollis (born April 12, 1973 in Gary , Indiana ) is an American basketball player who played as a professional in Europe . Most recently he played in ProA 2011/12 for Gloria GIANTS from Düsseldorf .

Life

Lollis studied at Montana State University in Bozeman and played for the college team Bobcats in the Big Sky Conference of NCAA Division I. In his senior year 1996, the Bobcats qualified with Lollis as the MVP of the Conference for the first time in ten years for the championship finals, but lost in the first round against Syracuse Orange . Then he was for one season with the now-defunct Racers from Omaha in the Continental Basketball Association active.

1997 Lollis went to Europe and played first a season in Turkish Bursa , followed by a season in Belgian Ostende followed. In 1999 he returned to the Türkiye Basketbol Ligi and played for Galatasaray in Istanbul . After one season, he moved to local rivals Ülkerspor for two seasons and immediately became Turkish champions in the first year. In his second year for Ülker he played for the first time in the ULEB Euroleague , in the Turkish championship it was only enough to finish second behind final winner Efes Pilsen Istanbul , who had previously been defeated in the finals for four years in a row. Then he was active in the 2002/03 season for Alba Berlin in the German basketball league and became German champions and cup winners with the Berliners . In the following two seasons he was active in Athens for AEK in the Greek A1 Ethniki and in the Euroleague, so that he played in four consecutive seasons in the Euroleague for three different clubs. In the 2005/06 season he returned to Alba, but after winning the cup again and taking first place in the main round, they lost the play-off finals for the championship against RheinEnergie Cologne . He then moved to the Italian second division promoted Vanoli Soresina in the province of Cremona . After three years, the club was promoted to Serie A by winning the second division playoffs . Lollis signed a contract with EnBW Ludwigsburg in the BBL in the 2009/10 season . However, the club could not qualify for the championship playoffs again. For the 2010/11 season Lollis returned to the Italian LegADue and played in Rimini . After the financial withdrawal of the Italians after the end of the season, he was signed in the following season in December 2011 by Gloria GIANTS Düsseldorf in the second German ProA league . However, the Giants did not make the desired return to the top German division and were eliminated in the play-off semi-final series of the ProA 2011/12 . After the end of the season, Lollis also left the club.
