The village was first mentioned as Ranisch in 1364 .

After the First Silesian War in 1742, Ranisch and most of Silesia fell to Prussia . From 1743 to 1818 the place belonged to the district of Opole .

After the reorganization of the province of Silesia , the rural community Ranisch belonged from 1818 to the district of Falkenberg OS in the administrative district of Opole . In 1845 there were 47 houses in the village. In the same year, 220 people lived in Ranisch, three of them Protestants. In 1861 there were 221 people in Ranisch. In 1865 the village consisted of a Schulzenhof, nine farms, 14 gardeners and five cottagers. In 1874 the district of Schloss Friedland was founded, which consisted of the places Ellguth-Friedland, Floste, Hammer, Hillersdorf, Julienthal, Nüßdorf, Ranisch and Woistrasch and the manor districts of Ellguth-Friedland, Floste, Friedland, Schloß and Nüßdorf. The first head of office was the manor owner, Count Sierstorpff in Puschine.

Around 1930 the Friedland Castle District was dissolved and the Ranisch District was founded. In 1932 this consisted of the towns of Ellguth-Hammer, Floste-Woistrasch, Hillersdorf, Julienthal, Nüßdorf and Ranisch. In 1933 Ranisch had 166 inhabitants, in 1939 again 180 inhabitants. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Falkenberg OS

As a result of the Second World War, Ranisch fell under Polish administration in 1945, like most of Silesia . Subsequently, the place was renamed Rączka and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1946 the German population was expelled. In 1950 it was incorporated into the Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place came to the newly founded Powiat Nyski ( Neisse district ). In 2005 the village had 119 inhabitants.
