Real is a Philippine municipality in the province of Quezon .

Real is a coastal town on the east coast of the island of Luzon on the Bay of Lamon about 133 km from the provincial capital Lucena City and 145 km from Manila .

Real is politically divided into 17 barangays , 14 of which are classified as rural and three as urban.

history
Spanish troops landed on the site of today's Real in the early colonial period, where they built a port called Puerto Real . Reinforcement troops were stationed in nearby Binangonan del Ampon (today's Infanta).
Real belonged to the municipality of Infanta until 1960 . The municipality of Real, consisting of the barrios Llavac, Cawayan, Capalong, Tignoan, Kiloloron, Lubayat and Pandan, was founded by Executive Order No. 410 of December 15, 1960, signed by President Carlos P. Garcia .
The typhoons Violeta , Winnie and Yoyong in December 2004 killed 500 people or have been missing since then.
