Location of Rennersdorf-Neudörfel in Saxony

Rennersdorf-Neudörfel is an official district of the Saxon town of Stolpen in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district . Rennersdorf-Neudörfel was formed in 1963 and has belonged to the city of Stolpen since 1994.

geography

Rittergut / Kammergut Rennersdorf

The twin village Rennersdorf-Neudörfel is located about 1.5 kilometers northwest of the city center of Stolpen north of Saxon Switzerland at 240  m above sea level. NN . The district is located about halfway between the district town of Pirna and the town of Bischofswerda in the Bautzen district . The suburb of Rennersdorf extends along the district road 8708 and is traversed by the Rennersdorfer Bach . This flows into the Wesenitz at the southern entrance to the village . This river, which comes from the Hohwald and flows into the Elbe at Pirna, is followed by the “Wesenitztalstrasse”. It begins on the county road in Rennersdorf and then runs east to northeast in the Wesenitztal. The street crosses the suburb of Neudörfel . The next place on this street is Lauterbach .

In Rennersdorf-Neudörfel, the Saxon State Road 160 coming from Bundesstraße 6 ends at State Road 159, which connects Stolpen with Radeberg . With the exception of the Wesenitztal, Rennersdorf-Neudörfel is surrounded by arable land. The place is rural, there are three-sided farms in both Rennersdorf and Neudörfel , and occasionally also four-sided farms . The rest of the built-up area consists of smaller residential buildings.

Unlike most of the official districts in Saxony, Rennersdorf-Neudörfel does not form a uniform district ; the community part is made up of the local districts of Rennersdorf and Neudörfel, the dimensions of which correspond to the communities that were independent until 1962. The Rennersdorf district is the significantly larger district, Neudörfel is east of Rennersdorf and has a much smaller area. Apart from Rennersdorf, the district of Neudörfel only borders on the district of the core town of Stolpen. Rennersdorf, on the other hand, has Schmiedefeld as its northern neighbor , in the northeast the district borders on Lauterbach. Neudörfel and Stolpen are neighbors to the east, Rennersdorf shares the southern boundary with Stolpen-Altstadt . Wilschdorf and Fischbach border the district to the west, and Seeligstadt to the northwest . Schmiedefeld and Seeligstadt belong to the community of Großharthau in the Bautzen district, and the Arnsdorf district of Fischbach is also located in this district. Wilschdorf is part of Dürrröhrsdorf-Dittersbach , which, like the other surrounding towns, is part of the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district.

The first reliable mention of the place Rennersdorf took place in 1411 as Reynhartsdorff . A Heraldisdorph was mentioned as early as 1262 , which is probably to be equated with Rennersdorf. The Vorwerk , first mentioned in the 16th century, has been the main breeding center for Spanish merino sheep since 1778 . Rennersdorf was an official village, the landlord exercised the land lordship over 29 possessed men , 8 cottagers and 3 housemates who lived on 26 Hufen land in 1559 . Rennersdorf was a typical Waldhufendorf , around which a 699 hectare Waldhufenflur extended in 1865 . Rennersdorf was parish church to Stolpen, about 90% of the residents were Evangelical Lutheran denomination.

The place Neudörfel originated at the beginning of the 17th century on Stolpener Flur and was council village of Stolpen until 1838. Neudörfel is in the form of a lane-shaped housing estate that, like the neighboring town, was parish to Stolpen. In Neudörfel, too, the majority of the population was Protestant Lutheran.

The Saxon rural community order of 1838 gave the villages of the Kingdom of Saxony independence as a rural community. In terms of administrative affiliation, both villages have an identical history. They belonged in the early modern period to the Office Stolpen , following then from 1856 to the court office Stolpen. From 1875 the Pirna administration was responsible for the administration of both communities.

Both communities came after the Second World War in the Soviet zone of occupation and later in the GDR . The 1952 regional reform divided the Pirna district, which had emerged from the administrative authority, into a Pirna district and a Sebnitz district in the Dresden district . Rennersdorf and Neudörfel became part of the latter district. On January 1, 1963, Rennersdorf-Neudörfel was formed from Rennersdorf and Neudörfel. In the GDR, rural life in the villages was gradually converted to the principle of agriculture in the GDR .

After German reunification , Rennersdorf-Neudörfel came to the re-established Free State of Saxony. Since the community with its almost 600 inhabitants was too small to remain independent, it merged with Heeselicht , Helmsdorf , Langenwolmsdorf and Stolpen to form the new town of Stolpen with effect from January 1, 1994 . Since then, Rennersdorf-Neudörfel has been one of the six official districts of this city. The following regional reforms in Saxony assigned Stolpen in August 1994 to the Saxon Switzerland district and in 2008 to the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district .

After the merger in 1963, the community had 713 inhabitants in 1964. This value sank in the following years to 592 in 1990. Since then the population of the place decreased slightly to 562 inhabitants in 1993 until the incorporation. In February 2012, 564 people lived in Rennersdorf and Neudörfel.
