reputation (also: Reputation, English for the reputation, the view ) is the sixth studio album by the American singer Taylor Swift . It was released on November 10, 2017 on the Big Machine Records label.

Taylor Swift himself acted as executive producer on the album . The music producers Jack Antonoff , Max Martin , Shellback , Ali Payami, Oscar Görres and Oscar Holter were also involved in the production of the songs .
Cover design
The album cover is in black and white and shows Taylor Swift wearing a sweater and necklace and looking at the viewer. To the right of the picture are newspaper articles headlined Taylor Swift , some of which are written across her face. The title reputation can be read in black at the top left . The cover was designed by the London photographer duo Mert and Marcus .
Guest Posts
The only guest appearances on the album come from the British singer Ed Sheeran and the US rapper Future , both of whom can be heard on the song End Game .

Chart placements and singles
Reputation entered the German album charts at number 2 on November 17, 2017 and was in the top 100 for 22 weeks. It topped the charts in the United Kingdom, United States, Switzerland, and Austria. It was ranked 60th in the German album annual charts 2017.
The song Look What You Made Me Do was released as the first single on the album on August 25, 2017 . To do this, Taylor Swift deleted all content on her public network profiles a few days before the song was released. She then posted short video clips showing a snake. The release reached number 3 in the German charts and topped the charts in Great Britain and the United States.
On September 3, the promo single … Ready for It? released. The song was finally released on October 24, 2017 as the second official single from the album.
On October 20, Swift released the song Gorgeous as a promo single. With Call It What You Want , another song was released on November 3, 2017, a week before the album was released, to promote the sound carrier.
The third full-fledged single End Game was released on November 14th, followed by New Year's Day as another promo single on November 27th, 2017. They were initially only released in France and the USA. On March 12, 2018, a music video for the song Delicate was also released , which was released as the fourth single at the same time.
With 48 weeks in the Top 40 of the Billboard album charts, Reputation was the top-selling album in the United States in 2018.

The album received mostly positive reviews from critics. The site Metacritic calculated an average of 71% from 28 reviews of English-language media.
Markus Brandstetter from the website laut.de rated reputation with three out of a possible five points. The album delivers "pop songs in ultra-HD that are highly cultivated under laboratory conditions" and have a "brilliant sound costume". However, the singer sometimes "loses sight of the song", which means that "little is left in the end".
