The Resolution 680 of the UN Security Council is a resolution that the United Nations Security Council unanimously decided at its 2969th meeting on December 14 1990th The resolution noted a report by the Secretary-General that, given the circumstances , the presence of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) will continue to be essential for a peaceful solution. The Council requested the Secretary-General to report again before 31 May 1991 in order to follow the implementation of the resolution.

The Council reaffirmed its previous resolutions, including resolution 365 (1974), expressed concern about the situation, urged the parties involved to work together for peace, and extended the deployment of those established by resolution 186 (1964) Troop in Cyprus again until June 15, 1991.

The resolution was not adopted with 14 votes, with Canada abstaining.
