The UN Security Council Resolution 650 is a resolution that the United Nations Security Council at its 2913th meeting on 27. March 1990 unanimously decided. Referring to Resolutions 637 ( 1989 ) and 644 (1989), the Council approved the Secretary-General's report and decided to approve an expansion of the Misión de Observación de las Naciones Unidas en El Salvador (ONUCA) to demobilize the Contras in Nicaragua .
ONUCA's strength was increased by a further 800 people, including a Venezuelan combat battalion and security forces overseeing the disposal of weapons in Honduras. It also allowed armed personnel to join its ranks and requested the Secretary-General to keep the Council informed of the implementation of the resolution.
