Rimlos is a district of the district town of Lauterbach in Vogelsbergkreis in central Hesse .
The place is in Upper Hesse . The Vogelsbergbahn runs through Rimlos ; Bundesstrasse 254 and Landesstrasse 3161 run on the outskirts .
history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1273. In 1806 Rimlos became Hessian and belonged to the Heblos community until after the Second World War .
The statistical-topographical-historical description of the Grand Duchy of Hesse reports on Maar in 1830:
"Rimlos (L. Bez. Lauterbach) evangel. Branch village; lies in Vogelsberg 1 ⁄ 4 St. von Lauterbach, and belongs to the Baron von Riedesel. It has 9 houses and 69 evangelical residents, like a grinding mill. "
At 31 December 1971 Rimlos was in the course of administrative reform in Hesse on a voluntary basis in the county seat Lauterbach incorporated . For Rimlos, as for the other municipalities incorporated by the regional reform, a local district with a local advisory council and local councilor was set up.
