New building

From 2015 to 2017, the Deggendorf district erected a school building that meets current and future requirements at the current location. This new building was built on an expanded site of the previous school center, but separate from the previous buildings.

Until 2012, the location of the high school was questioned for a long time. A relocation of the grammar school to Plattling or to the districts of Deggendorf on the right of the Danube was discussed in detail. The district council of Deggendorf decided, strengthened by the assessment of the Bavarian Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs, to leave the grammar school at its previous location and to build a new building instead of a general renovation.

During the Whitsun holidays, the complete move to the new school building took place, which was celebrated in the school family on June 19, 2017.

The new building cost a total of 21.39 million euros, of which the Free State of Bavaria took over 11.2 million euros. The inauguration ceremony took place on July 26, 2017 in the presence of many guests of honor (including guest speakers MdL Bernd Sibler , District Administrator Christian Bernreiter , Lord Mayor Christian Moser and cabaret artist Django Asül ).
