Rozmierz (German: Rosmierz ) is a village in Poland in Upper Silesia in the municipality of Strzelce Opolskie (Groß Strehlitz) in the Powiat Strzelecki in the Opole Voivodeship .

Rozmierz is located seven kilometers north-west of the municipality and the district town of Strzelce Opolskie and 25 kilometers south-east of the voivodeship capital Opole .

history
In 1865 the village, which was then written as Rosmirz, had 19 outdoor gardeners, eleven coal farmers, 13 free farmers and 28 arable farmers. The place also had a Catholic church and a Catholic school.
In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 139 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 193 for Poland. Rosmierz stayed with the German Empire . In 1933 there were 679 inhabitants. On July 21, 1936, the place was renamed Angerbach / Upper Silesia . In 1939 the place had 670 inhabitants. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Groß Strehlitz .
In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was renamed Rozmierz and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship . In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Strzelecki .
Rozmierz is first mentioned in a document on June 26, 1256.
In a public survey , the residents of the place voted for the introduction of the additional German place name Rosmierz . On July 29, 2015, the municipal council approved a bilingual place name.
