Osiek (German: Oschiek ) is a village in Poland in Upper Silesia in the municipality of Strzelce Opolskie (Groß Strehlitz) in the Powiat Strzelecki in the Opole Voivodeship .

Geographical location
Osiek is located 10 kilometers north of the municipality and the district town of Strzelce Opolskie and 28 kilometers east of the voivodeship capital Opole .

history
In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 42 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 247 for Poland. Oschiek stayed with the German Empire . In 1933 there were 489 inhabitants. On September 3, 1936, the place was renamed Karlstal / Upper Silesia . In 1939 the place had 531 inhabitants. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Groß Strehlitz .
In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was renamed Osiek and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship . In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Strzelecki .
