Sören Sturm (born December 15, 1989 in Cologne - Porz ) is a German ice hockey player who has been playing for the Ravensburg Towerstars in the DEL2 since 2016 .

Career

Sören Sturm started his career in 2004 in the DNL team of the Kölner Haie . In the first two years, the right-handed shooter was only used there and scored 44 points as a defender. In 2006 he reached the semi-finals of the play-offs with the team , but where they were inferior to the young eagles Mannheim .

For the 2006/07 season , Sturm received a contract with the KEC for the professional team that plays in the DEL . At the same time, he was still eligible to play for the DNL with a sponsorship license and became the captain of the German championship team . In the final, the KEC beat the young eagles from Mannheim in two games. In the 2007/08 season, Sturm played both for the Haie and with a license for the Heilbronner Falken and the Moskitos Essen in the 2nd Bundesliga . For the 2008/09 season he received a sponsorship license from the second division REV Bremerhaven . He also stayed in the Cologne Haie squad. For the 2010/11 season he switched to the DEL promoted EHC Munich . At the same time he was also given a license for another club. From the 2013/2014 season, Sören Sturm played as a defender with the Straubing Tigers under the direction of Dan Ratushny . He received a two-year contract.
