Vincenz Mayer (born September 27, 1990 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Ravensburg Towerstars in the DEL2 since 2016 .

Career

Vincenz Mayer began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown Mittenwald , with EV Mittenwald . From the junior high school he played for the SC Riessersee , for whose junior team he was active in the German youth league from 2005 to 2008 . In the 2006/07 season he also made his senior debut for SC Riessersee in the third-class ice hockey league . After he had played for the league club EC Peiting in the 2008/09 season , the winger ran for their league rivals EHF Passau Black Hawks in the following two years . During his time in Passau he also made his debut in professional ice hockey for the EHC Munich as a loan player from the 2nd Bundesliga .

For the 2011/12 season , Mayer was signed by the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg from the German Ice Hockey League , where he became a regular player straight away. In his first year in the DEL he was also on the ice in a game for the upper division Kassel Huskies . After five years in Wolfsburg, he moved to the second division in Ravensburg for the 2016/17 season. He has also been the captain of the Towerstars since 2017.
