Thomas Supis (born January 21, 1992 in Villingen-Schwenningen ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Ravensburg Towerstars in the DEL2 since 2017 .
Career
Thomas Supis began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the Schwenninger ERC . From there he moved to the Eisbären Juniors Berlin , for which he was active in the German Junior League from 2007 to 2011 . At the same time he played from 2009 to 2011 for FASS Berlin in the fourth-class ice hockey regional league and the third-class ice hockey league . In the pre-season 2010 he won the European Trophy with the Eisbären Berlin . In the 2011/12 season , the defender made his debut for the Eisbären Berlin in the German Ice Hockey League . With the Eisbären he became German champion straight away in his rookie year . He contributed to this success with two assists in a total of 38 games. At the same time, he was still on the ice as a loan player for FASS Berlin in the major league. In September 2013 Supis received a support license for the Dresdner Eislöwen from the DEL2 .
In May 2014 he signed a two-year contract with the Krefeld Pinguinen. As part of the funding license regulation, Thomas Supis was able to appear in the DEL2 at the same time with cooperation partner Lausitzer Füchse . He ultimately stayed in Krefeld until the end of the 2016/17 season.
For the 2017/18 season, Supis switched to the Ravensburg Towerstars in the DEL2.
International
For Germany , Supis took part in the U18 Junior World Championship of Division I in 2010 , where he and his team achieved promotion to the top division. He also rose to the top division with Germany at the U20 Junior World Cup in Division IA 2012 .
