Sønderup Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Slagelse Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Slagelse Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which was merged into the “new” Slagelse Kommune in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the local government reform .
