Holsteinborg Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Vester Flakkebjerg Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Skælskør Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which was merged into Slagelse Municipality in the Sjælland region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

The parish has 889 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Holsteinborg Kirke".

Neighboring municipalities are Ørslev Sogn in the south and west , Sønder Bjerge Sogn in the north- west and Venslev Sogn in the north , and Fyrendal Sogn in the neighboring Næstved municipality to the east .
