Hyllested Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Vester Flakkebjerg Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Hashøj Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which was merged into Slagelse Kommune in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the local government reform .

343 inhabitants live in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Hyllested Kirke".

Neighboring municipalities are in the south Venslev Sogn , in the southwest Sønder Bjerge Sogn , in the west Høve Sogn and in the northwest Gimlinge Sogn , furthermore in the neighboring Næstved municipality in the northeast Ting Jellinge Sogn and in the east Hårslev Sogn .
