Sørbymagle Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Vester Flakkebjerg Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Hashøj Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which was merged into Slagelse Kommune in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the local government reform .

The parish has 1,551 inhabitants, 1,100 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Sørbymagle Kirke".

Neighboring municipalities are in the southeast Kirkerup Sogn , in the south Gimlinge Sogn , in the west Sludstrup Sogn and in the north Antvorskov Sogn , furthermore in the east neighboring Sorø municipality Lynge Sogn .
