Kirkerup Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Vester Flakkebjerg Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Hashøj Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which was merged into Slagelse Kommune in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the local government reform .
309 inhabitants live in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Kirkerup Kirke".
Neighboring communities are in the southwest Gimlinge Sogn and in the west Sørbymagle Sogn , further in the northeast neighboring Sorø municipality Lynge Sogn and in the southeast neighboring Næstved municipality in the east Tystrup Sogn and Haldagerlille Sogn and in the south Krummerup Sogn .
