Hemmeshøj Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to the Harde Slagelse Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Korsør Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which became part of the Slagelse Kommune in the Sjælland region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

The parish has 422 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Hemmeshøj Kirke".

Neighboring communities are Sankt Peders Sogn in the northeast, Slots Bjergby Sogn , Gerlev Sogn and Lundforlund Sogn in the east, Eggeslevmagle Sogn in the southeast , Boeslunde Sogn in the southwest and Vemmelev Sogn in the west .
