Halskov Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in the town of Korsør on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to the Harde Slagelse Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Korsør Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which became part of the Slagelse Kommune in the Sjælland region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

Of the 14,608 inhabitants of Korsør, 7,189 live in the parish of Halskov (as of January 1, 2020).

The church "Halskov Kirke" is located in the parish.

The only direct neighboring municipality is Tårnborg Sogn in the east . In the south the Sogn is a bridge to the St. Povls Sogn connected and in the west on the Storebæltsbroen ( dt .: Great Belt Bridge ) with the island Sprogø , which also belongs to the Sankt Povls Sogn.
