Venslev Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Vester Flakkebjerg Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Skælskør Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which was merged into Slagelse Municipality in the Sjælland region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

182 inhabitants live in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Venslev Kirke".

Neighboring communities are Holsteinborg Sogn in the south, Sønder Bjerge Sogn in the west and Hyllested Sogn in the north , and in the neighboring Næstved municipality in the north-east Hårslev Sogn and in the east Fyrendal Sogn .
