Sankt Mikkels Sogn ( Eng .: Sankt-Michaels -Gemeinde ) is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in the town of Slagelse on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Slagelse Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Slagelse Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which was merged into the “new” Slagelse Kommune in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the local government reform .

Of the 34,015 inhabitants of Slagelse, 9,976 live in the parish of Sankt Mikkels (as of January 1, 2020).

In the parish is the church "Sankt Mikkels Kirke".

Neighboring communities are Nørrevang Sogn in the north, Ottestrup Sogn in the east, Antvorskov Sogn in the south and Sankt Peders Sogn in the west .
