Saargaugrafen

The Saargaugrafen family appears at the end of the 11th century . They officiated initially in Saargau , later in the county of Saarbrücken , and spread to Alsace as well as the county of Zweibrücken and the county of Leiningen .

The family includes two archbishops from Mainz , two abbots from Lorsch and one bishop each from Worms and Speyer .
