Schablykino ( Russian Шаблы́кино ) is an urban-type settlement in the Oryol Oblast in Russia with 3414 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
Schablykino is the administrative center of the Schablykinsky Rajons and the seat and only locality of the municipality (gorodskoje posselenije) Schablykino.
Geographical location
The village is located about 60 km in a straight line west-southwest of Oblastverwaltungszentrums Oryol some 10 km from the border with the Oblast Bryansk removed. It is located on the River Moch few kilometers above its confluence with the left Desna creek Nawlja .

history
The place has been known at least since the end of the 18th century, when it belonged to the Ujesd Karachev of the Oryol governorate . On June 27, 1929, Schablykino became the administrative seat of a newly created Rajons named after him.
During the Second World War , Schablykino was occupied by the German Wehrmacht from October 4, 1941 to August 13, 1943 . On December 21, 1973, the place received the status of an urban-type settlement.

The regional road 53K-18 leads to Schablykino, which branches off a good 20 km northeast of the federal highway R120 Oryol - Bryansk - Smolensk . In this direction, the nearest railway station, Shachowo, is a good 30 km away on the railway line that also connects Oryol to Smolensk via Bryansk . There is a connection from Schablykino to the neighboring district of Soskowo to the southeast via the 53K-363.
