The 2007/08 season was the 33rd season of the Austrian Chess League . SK Mayrhofen , RbEJ Gleisdorf and SV Pamhagen were promoted from the 2nd Bundesliga .

As the only newcomer, SV Pamhagen managed to stay in the league, while SK Mayrhofen and RbEJ Gleisdorf had to relegate together with SC Die Klagenfurter .

For the title, SK Baden and SK Semriach fought head-to-head, which ended in a tie for board and team points. Since SK Baden won the direct comparison with 3½: 2½, it secured the championship title. The defending champion Union Ansfelden , however, had nothing to do with the awarding of the title and had to be content with sixth place.
