German Chess League 2009/10 (Austria)

The 2009/10 season was the 35th season of the Austrian Chess League . SK Fürstenfeld , SK Lackenbach and Mayrhofen / Zillertal were promoted from the 2nd Bundesliga .

All three newcomers achieved relegation, but SK Mayrhofen only through the withdrawal of runner-up SK Semriach ; In purely sporting terms, they were relegated together with SV Pamhagen and the defending champion SK Husek Wien . The Jenbach chess club won all competitions and was superior Austrian champion.

For the first time this season, the number of team points decided on the placements, followed by the board points, which had previously been the first criterion.

Dates and venues

The competitions took place from November 6th to 8th, 2009 in Jenbach , from January 14th to 17th, 2010 in Graz and from March 27th to 30th, 2010 in Baden .
