German Chess League 2015/16 (Austria)

The Chess League 2015/16 was the 41st season of the Austrian Chess League . The champions were SC MPÖ Maria Saal , who could not be driven away from the top even before the last round and relegated the defending champion SK Sparkasse Jenbach to second place. LA Kraftanlage Ottakring (group east), the game community Sauwald (center) and the chess club Sparkasse Götzis (west) had moved up from the 2nd Bundesliga. While Ottakring and Götzis achieved relegation, Sauwald had to relegate directly with SIR Salzburg and the Sparkasse Grieskirchen / Sedda Schallerbach syndicate.
