Kochersteinsfeld Castle

The Castle Kochersteinsfeld in Kochersteinsfeld in the district of Heilbronn in northern Baden-Wuerttemberg was a castle of the House of Württemberg and was demolished in 1969 due to disrepair.

history

The former hunting lodge of the Dukes of Württemberg in Kochersteinsfeld served as the Württemberg Forestry Office until the office was relocated to Neuenstadt am Kocher in 1822 . Together with the Schweizerhof state domain , the property came to the banker Johannes von Müller in 1824 . His son Johann Wilhelm von Müller (1824–1866), who was born in the castle, became a well-known explorer. The castle was used as a refugee accommodation after the Second World War and was no longer preserved, so that it was demolished in 1969 because of dilapidation.
