Schtscherbinino ( Russian Щербинино , German Schönrade, Wehlau district ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad ( Königsberg area (Prussia) ) and belongs to the Mosyrskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community Mosyr (Klein Gnie) ) in Pravdinsk district ( Friedland district (Eastern Prussia)) ).

Geographical location

Shcherbinino on the north bank of the Ashlon (Swine, Russian: Putilowka) is only one kilometer northwest of Novo-Bobruisk (Ilmsdorf) - not far from the Russian highway R 508 . There is no train connection.

history

Between 1874 and 1945, which at that time was called Schönrade in the District Eiserwagen (Russian: Bely Yar) and incorporated as part of the district Wehlau in the administrative district of Konigsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1910 125 people lived here.

On September 30, 1928, the rural community of Schönrade was enlarged by the fact that the Reichau manor district (Russian: Tscherepanowo) was incorporated into Schönrade from the Koppershagen district (the place no longer exists). The number of inhabitants rose to 191 by 1933 and was already 199 in 1939.

In 1945 Schönrade came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia and in 1947 was renamed "Schtscherbinino". Since 2009, due to structural and administrative reform, the place has been classified as a "settlement" (Russian: possjolok) within the then Russian Kaliningrad Oblast within the Mosyrskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community (Klein Gnie) ) in Pravdinsk Rajon .

The predominantly Protestant population of Schönrades before 1945 was parish in the parish of Allenburg (Russian: Druzhba) and thus belonged to the church district of Wehlau (Snamensk) within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union .

Today Shcherbinino is in the catchment area of ​​the Chernyakhovsk (Insterburg) township , which was newly formed in the 1990s and belongs to the Kaliningrad provost within the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
