Iwanowka ( Russian Ивановка , German Nendrinn , 1938–1945 Altlugau , lit. Ivanovka) is a very small place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad ( Koenigsberg area (Prussia) ). It is located in the northeast of the Pravdinsk Rajon ( Friedland district (Ostpr.) ) And belongs to the Mosyrskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community Mosyr (Klein Gnie) ).

geography

Ivanovka is located west of the Ilme (Russian: Borodinka) and 26 kilometers southwest of the former district town of Tschernjachowsk (Insterburg) and is via the Tchaikovsky junction ( Lugowen , 1938–1945 Großlugau ) on a side road, the Sadowoje ( Szallgirren / Schallgirren , 1938–1945 Kreuzhausen ) on the Russian trunk road A 197 (former German Reichsstrasse 139 ) connects with Perewalowo ( Muldszen / Muldschen , 1938–1945 Mulden ) on the trunk road R 508 , to be reached on a land route towards Severny (Mulk) . Until 2001, Frunsenskoje (Bokellen) was the nearest train station on the Toruń – Chernyachovsk (Thorn – Insterburg) line , the section of which is no longer in operation in Russian territory.

history

The former Nendrinn was formerly a Vorwerk and then also a district in the municipality of Lugowen (1938–1945 Großlugau , since 1950: Tschaikowskoje) and has been closely connected with it in its history: part of the administrative district of Lugowen and the district of Insterburg in the administrative district of Gumbinnen in the Prussian Province of East Prussia . On June 3, 1938, Nendrinn - with official confirmation of July 16, 1938 - was renamed "Altlugau".

In 1945 the place, like all of northern East Prussia, came to the Soviet Union and in 1950 received the new name " Iwanowka " as Nendrinen . The place belonged to the Mosyr village soviet , until 1962 within the Zheleznodorozhny district , then in Pravdinsk district. Since 2008/09 he belongs to the Mosyrskoje selskoje posselenije (rural municipality Mosyr).

church

The numerically small number of residents of Nendrinn and Altlugau belonged without exception to the Evangelical Church before 1945 and was parish in the parish of Jodlauken (1938–1945 Schwalbental , since 1947: Wolodarowka). It was in the church district Insterburg (Russian: Tschernjachowsk) within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Theodor Eicke .

Today Iwanowka is in the church region of Chernyachovsk (Insterburg) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER) and is assigned to its provost in Kaliningrad .
