Swiss Football Championship 1922/23
The 26 Swiss football championship was 1922 / 1923 instead.
The championship title was not awarded because the winner, FC Bern, was disqualified after the finals were held.
FC Bern used an unauthorized player in a Serie A Central group game against FC Basel and thus suffered a subsequent defeat. After that, FC Bern, which was now able to show two points less, would not have been entitled to participate in the final, but the Young Boys Bern. Since it was already mid-September at the time of this decision, the finals were not held again and the championship title was not awarded this year.

The top division, Serie A , was divided into three regional groups. A win brought 2 points, a draw 1 point. The winners of the three groups competed against each other in finals for the championship.

Forfait win FC Bern against FC Biel-Bienne and the result
The match between FC Biel-Bienne and FC Bern was declared 0: 3 forfait (originally 3: 0) before the finals, because FC Biel-Bienne had not used qualified players. Because of this, the new table looked like this:

Since FC Bern and Young Boys now had the same number of points, a decision game had to determine the finalist. Since Young Boys withdrew, FC Bern was able to qualify for the finals without a fight.
Forfait victory for Basel (Basel-Bern)
After Bern took part in the final in May 1923 and already believed they were Swiss champions, the group match between FC Basel and FC Bern in mid-September 1923 was subsequently rated 3-0 forfait (originally 0-4), which is why the final table looks like this :

For this reason, Young Boys is the winner of the Zentral group, not FC Bern. Therefore, the finals would have to be repeated. But since it was already September, they were not repeated and there was no Swiss champion.

Since, as described above, Young Boys Bern was declared the winner of the Zentral group on the green table in September 1923 and not FC Bern, the finals held in May would have to be repeated. It was renounced and no Swiss champion was chosen.
