The Scottish Football League Third Division was held under this name for the eleventh time in 2004/05 . It was also the eleventh edition of the Third Division as only fourth highest Scottish league . In the fourth-highest division of men's football in Scotland , 10 clubs competed against each other in a total of 36 matchdays in the 2004/05 season. Each team played four times against each other team. In the event of a tie, the goal difference counted before the direct comparison.

The championship won the FC Gretna , who at the same time together with the table runner-up FC Peterhead , secured participation in the Second Division season 2005/06 . The top scorer with 38 goals was Kenny Deuchar from FC Gretna.
