La Dôle transmitter

The transmitter La Dôle is a facility for the distribution of television, FM and DAB radio programs on the mountain La Dôle in Switzerland. It is located in the municipality of Gingins on a ridge of the Jura above Nyon .

A 128 meter high, free-standing lattice tower is used as the antenna carrier.

Old transmission tower

On May 24, 2018, the old 112 meter high transmission tower was blown up after Swisscom had built a new one in the immediate vicinity. This tower stood in Sottens until 1958 and carried a T-antenna for medium wave there together with a second tower. In 1958 it was dismantled and rebuilt on La Dôle.
