history

The place was first mentioned in 1348 in the Bamberg Urbar as "Syntmans". At that time, the Bamberg Monastery exercised feudal lordship over eight properties. In 1427 a court came to the Bamberg Cathedral Chapter, and in the 16th century another property came to the Bamberg Cathedral Provosty.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were four properties and a community shepherd's house in Sintmann. The high court exercised the office of Büchenbach to a limited extent. If necessary it had to be delivered to the Centamt Herzogenaurach of the Hochstift Bamberg. The office of Büchenbach held the village and community rulership as well as the lordship over the four whole farms.

As part of the community edict, Sintmann was assigned to the Hammerbach tax district, formed in 1811, but to the Weisendorf tax district as early as 1812. In 1813 it belonged to the newly formed rural community of Sauerheim . With the second community edict (1818) it became an independent rural community, which was combined with Rezelsdorf in 1819 . In 1824 the original rural community was finally restored, but was no longer named after Sauerheim, but after Rezelsdorf.

On January 1, 1972, Sintmann was incorporated into the community of Weisendorf as part of the regional reform .
