Mitteldorf is a district of the Weisendorf market in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village lies on the Seebach , a left tributary of the Regnitz . The Seebach feeds a chain of ponds, immediately southeast of the village called Herrenweiher. The Weisendorf settlement is 100 meters to the northeast. In the south beyond the Seebach lies the Berghölzer forest area. Otherwise the place is surrounded by arable land and grassland.

history

Mitteldorf was first mentioned in a document in 1416. The deed confirmed that the Lords of Maienthal zu Neuenbürg bought the place (consisting of four courtyards and the large Herrenweiher) as their own property from Wilhelm von Seckendorff-Rynhofen . In the following years there were several changes of ownership. In 1573 the margrave clerk Endres Mußmann finally exchanged the hamlet for Dürrenmungenau with the imperial city of Nuremberg . From then on it remained in the possession of the Landalmosenamt Nürnberg.

At the end of the 18th century there were 15 properties in Mitteldorf. The high court exercised the Bamberg center office Herzogenaurach . The village and community rulership was taken over by the Vogtei Lonnerstadt of the Nuremberg State Alms Office. The sole landlord of the 15 estates was the Vogtei Lonnerstadt.

As part of the municipal edict, Mitteldorf was assigned to the Hammerbach tax district, formed in 1811, but to the Weisendorf tax district as early as 1812. In 1813 it belonged to the newly formed rural community of Sauerheim . With the second community edict (1818) only Mitteldorf was part of the rural community Sauerheim. In 1824 the original rural community was finally restored, but was no longer named after Sauerheim, but after Rezelsdorf .

On January 1, 1972, Mitteldorf was incorporated into the community of Weisendorf as part of the regional reform .
