Buch is a district of the Weisendorf market in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Middle Franconia .

geography

A nameless stream flows through the village , which feeds numerous ponds and flows one kilometer further west into the Welkenbach, which is a left tributary of the Middle Aurach . In the northwest there is a forest area; there the Ochsknock rises ( 367  m above sea level ).

history

The place was first mentioned in 1348 in the Bamberg Urbar as "villula Puech". The Bamberg bishopric exercised feudal lordship over three estates at this time . From the 15th century Nuremberg patrician as a fief taker detectable. These donated their property to the Nuremberg Heilig-Geist-Spital and alms to the rich.

By the end of the 18th century, there were 8 properties in book. The high court south of the Dorfbach was exercised by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Fraischvogteiamt Emskirchen-Hagenbüchach , to the north the Bamberg Centamt Herzogenaurach . The landlords were the Bayreuth-Bamberg Monastery Office Münchaurach (2 estates), the Office Herzogenaurach (3 courtyards), the Herzogenaurach Hospital (1 courtyard) and the Mendelsche Twelve Brothers Foundation of the Nuremberg State Alms Office (1 estate). The high judgment over this property was controversial. The village and community rulership was alternately inherited from the landlords. A shepherd's house was subordinate to the community.

As part of the community edict , book was assigned to the tax district formed in 1811 and the rural community of Oberreichenbach founded in 1813 . With the second community edict (1818) it was re-incorporated into the newly founded rural community Unterreichenbach .

On January 1, 1972, Buch was incorporated into the community of Weisendorf as part of the regional reform .
