Solnetschnoje ( Russian Солнечное , German Szameitschen, Ksp. Wilhelm Berg , 1936-1938 Schameitschen , 1938-1946 Bramannsdorf ) is a town in the southeast of the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast (region Königsberg (Prussia) ) and belongs to Gawrilowskoje selskoje posselenije (Town Gawrilowo ( Gawaiten , 1938–1946 Herzogsrode )) in Osjorsk Rajon ( Darkehmen district , 1938–1946 Angerapp ).

Geographical location

Solnetschnoje is one kilometer south of the village of Jablonowka (Kaliningrad, Osjorsk) ( Wilhelmsberg ) on a side road that connects Osjorsk ( Darkehmen , 1938-1946 Angerapp ) with the Russian-Polish border crossing point Gussew / Gołdap north of the Polish town of Gołdap ( Goldap ). There is no rail connection.

Place name

In the former district of Darkehmen (1938–1946 Angerapp ) the place name Szameitschen / Schameitschen was used three times. For better differentiation, their affiliation to a parish has been added. Another place with the same name was about 40 kilometers away in the Gumbinnen district .

history

The former Szameitschen in the Wilhelmsberg parish belonged to the communities and manor districts that formed the Wilhelmsberg district on March 18, 1874 . At that time the place had about 100 inhabitants, in 1910 there were 93.

On October 17, 1928, Szameitschen lost his independence and was merged with the manor districts of Königsfelde (Russian: Nowo-Slawjanskoje) and Wilhelmsberg (Slawkino) to form the new rural community Wilhelmsberg (Jablonowka).

In 1936 the spelling of the name was changed to "Schameitschen", and just two years later the place was given the new name "Bramannsdorf" for ideological and political reasons. The namesake was Fritz von Bramann, who was born in Szameitschen . Until 1945 the village belonged to the district of Darkehmen (1938–1946 Angerapp ) in the administrative district of Gumbinnen in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

After 1945 Bramannsdorf came under Soviet administration and got its independence again with a new name as " Solnetschnoje ". Admittedly, the place was incorporated into the Gawrilowski soviet (Dorfsovjet Gawrilowo ( Gawaiten , 1938–1946 Herzogsrode )) until 2009 and has since been a “settlement” (possjolok) called a “settlement” (possjolok) within the newly formed Gawrilowskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community ) due to structural and administrative reform ) in Osjorsk Raion in the now Russian Kaliningrad Oblast .

church

Since the existence of the Wilhelmsberg parish (Russian: Jablonowka), Szameitschen / Bramannsdorf was parish here until 1945. It belonged to the church district Darkehmen (1938-1946 Angerapp ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Johannes Schenk .

Church life was forbidden during the time of the Soviet Union . It was not until the 1990s that a Protestant congregation was formed again in the neighboring town of Gawrilowo ( Gawaiten , 1938–1946 Herzogsrode ), which now belongs to the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia . The responsible rectory is that of the Salzburg Church in Gussew ( Gumbinnen ).
