societies

Born in Munich and raised in Dießen am Ammersee , Fürstner began playing soccer in the soccer department of the local men's gymnastics club in 1994, before moving to the youth department of FC Bayern Munich in 1998 . Yet 18 years old yet, he advanced to the season 2005/06 in the second team of Bayern on. In the first season he played 20 regional league games and scored one goal.

His debut on October 15, 2005 (11th matchday) was tarnished with the 0-4 defeat at SpVgg Bayreuth . He scored his first goal in the senior division on May 10, 2006 in the 3-2 defeat in the away game against the Stuttgarter Kickers with the goal of the interim 1-0 in the 30th minute. For the 2006/07 season he signed a professional contract dated until 2010. His first game in the professional team was the one that was played in May 2006 on the occasion of a tour of the Giants Stadium against the New York Red Bulls . He scored his first two goals in the professional team in the season preparation game against TSV 02 Berching which was won 12-0. On May 5, 2007 - in the 87th minute for Ali Karimi - he played his only Bundesliga game for Bayern Munich in a 1-1 draw in the away game against Borussia Mönchengladbach . He then played exclusively for the second team in the Regionalliga Süd and from 2008 in the newly created 3rd division before signing a three-year contract with the second division SpVgg Greuther Fürth for the 2009/10 season .

In his first season he played 22 league games and scored one goal. In his third season he contributed with 27 games and two goals to the second division championship and the associated first-time promotion of the club to the Bundesliga. In this he played 30 games and scored on March 16, 2013, in a 2-2 draw in the away game against Werder Bremen with the goal of the interim 1-1 in the 55th minute, his only Bundesliga goal. Without a home win - a novelty in Bundesliga history - he rose again with his club as bottom of the table .

For the 2015/16 season , the second division club 1. FC Union Berlin signed him , for which he was used in 22 of the 35 competitive games in his first season. In his second year in Berlin he was mostly a regular player, played with the team for a while to get promoted to the Bundesliga and finished fourth with them. In the 2017/18 season he was only used sporadically and left the club at the end of the season.

For the 2018/19 season he was signed by Eintracht Braunschweig , relegated from the second division , and given a contract that runs until June 30, 2020. Fürstner immediately became a regular at Eintracht and was appointed the new team captain. Due to minor injuries and bans, the Bavarian missed seven games of the season, the remaining 34 he played exclusively in central and defensive midfield. After a long time in the relegation battle, he and the team were able to prevail in the end due to the better goal difference against Energie Cottbus and just about held the class with him in table sixteen. Until the second half of the 2019/20 season , Fürstner was out due to an injury, he lost his captaincy to Bernd Nehrig . By the end of the season he played eight more times for Braunschweig and at the end of the season he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga.
