Storrenberg is a nature reserve on the territory of the Baden-Württemberg community of Aidlingen .

Characteristics

The nature reserve was designated by ordinance of the Stuttgart Regional Council of March 14, 1985 and has a size of 12.4 hectares. It is listed under the protected area number 1.134. The CDDA code for the nature reserve is 165758 and corresponds to the WDPA ID .

Location and description

The Storrenberg conservation area is around 500 meters west of the Aidlinger district of Dachtel at around 480  m to 512  m above sea level. NN on the left slope of the lower Hülsental, a dry valley to the right Aid -Oberlauf Aischbach, and above this itself Fruit trees. The defining element is the typical vegetation that has developed under the influence of years of sheep grazing. It is located in the natural area 122- Obere Gäue within the main natural unit 12- Gäuplatten in the Neckar and Tauberland and is almost completely enclosed by the Aidlingen nature reserve , which is numbered 1.15.091. It is also part of the FFH area No. 7319-341 Gäulandschaft on the Würm .

Protection purpose

According to the Protected Area Ordinance, an essential protection purpose is to maintain and secure a richly structured landscape in which heather and meadow areas, shrubbery, hedges, stone bars and valuable areas of natural vegetation development ( succession ) are closely connected with one another, and in which both a diverse flora and fauna Habitat offers peace as well as those seeking relaxation.
