Kappelwiesen-Beim Roten Brunnen-Salzwiesen is a nature reserve with the number 1.162 designated by the Stuttgart Regional Council of December 19, 1989 .
location
The nature reserve is located in the Obere Gäue natural area and lies in the valley floodplain of the Talackerbach , which flows into the Würm about 1000 meters after leaving the reserve on the southern outskirts of Weil der Stadt . The Kappelwiesen are almost completely surrounded by the landscape protection area No. 1.15.027 Heckengäu-Weil of the city .
Protection purpose
According to the regulation, the protection purpose is:
- the preservation, securing and restoration of a meadow landscape with used and unused areas in an environmentally friendly manner (consideration of the interests of nature and water protection in the management, small-scale use by maintaining the small parcels);
- the safeguarding and promotion of the ecological diversity of the valley floodplain, the hanging meadows and the Talackerbach with all landscape elements;
- the maintenance of step-free brook banks and undisturbed vegetation zones in the uncultivated floodplains and thus the safeguarding of unimpaired vegetation development
- the preservation, securing and renewal of water as a natural asset and protection against impairments of any kind such as changes in the use of grassland.
Flora and fauna
The flowering plants hedge calf's goiter and gold calf's goiter , which are scattered in Germany, grow on the damp corridors . In the area of the endangered species of birds breed Blackcap , Garden Warbler , Whitethroat , Whitethroat , backed Shrike , Whinchat and partridge and there are the endangered butterfly species Large fox and small blue before.
